Delaware ethanol distribution hub to go ahead following rejection of appeal

February 28, 2017 |

In Delaware, Coastal Zone Industrial Control Board voted against the appeal brought forward by the Audubon Society and League of Women Voters against a planned ethanol distribution hub before the appeal hearing even began. The board voted 5-1 against the appeal before appellants were able to make their arguments, ruling that the organizations didn’t demonstrate how the project would hurt their members directly. The civic groups have 30 days after the board publishes its decision to appeal to the state’s supreme court but it wasn’t clear if they would take such a route.
