UK biodiesel blending falls to just 1.41% in January

In the UK, biodiesel consumption fell to its lowest since March 2015 in January at just 30 million liters in line with falling fossil diesel consumption that was 18.5% lower that month, bringing the blending rate to just 1.41%. That’s more than 45% less than in December or during January 2015. Ethanol consumption remained steady during the month at 63 million liters, up slightly over the previous January, while gasoline consumption fell by about 5%. Ethanol blending was slightly down on the year at 4.66%.
