Manildra refutes Productivity Commission’s claims against biofuels

In Australia, Manildra is strongly refuting the Productivity Commission’s recent analysis that claims ethanol doesn’t support the rural economy as promised and that ethanol blending mandates are a financial burden on consumers. It says the commission has relied on unsubstantiated evidence and negative perceptions about biofuels to smear the fuels rather than credible research and engine tests that prove the GHG emissions reductions and other benefits such as rural development that biofuels provides, especially in Australia.
