Most of Trump’s inauguration donations from energy came from fossil fuels

In Washington, the Federal Elections Commission revealed that President Trump’s inauguration committee received $160 million in donations, $107 million more than President Obama, $7 million of which came from the energy industry. Of the total, $1 million came from Green Plains Renewable Energy and natural gas and nuclear power producer NextEra Energy donated $250,000. The rest came from the fossil fuels industry such as the company leading the Dakota Access Pipeline Project, Chevron, Exxon and BP.
