New ag secretary assures Iowa ethanol industry Trump supports RFS

In Iowa, the new US Secretary for Agriculture assured the state’s ethanol industry that the Trump administration has no intention of “messing” with the Renewable Fuel Standard and went further to stay they plan to support the development of new more efficient technologies. Since Trump’s election, his stance on biofuels has been unclear, especially considering his choice of energy secretary, EPA administrator and advisor on streamlining regulation, all of whom have vehemently anti-biofuel track records.
