Cooperative Sugar Mill Shahabad in Haryana moving forward with $12.7 million ethanol plant

In India, following the implementation of a 24MW cogeneration plant, the Cooperative Sugar Mill Shahabad in Haryana is looking to invest $12.7 million in a new 60,000 liter per day molasses-based ethanol plant that could be online as soon as next year. The facility will be bagasse-powered. The project was developed by National Federation of Cooperative Sugar Factories Limited. The mill is one of three cooperative mills approved for development in the area last December.
