Mass Companies to auction off 3 million gallon per year Wisconsin biodiesel facility

In Wisconsin, Maas Companies will provide agricultural and energy professionals with the opportunity to purchase at auction a 3 million gallon per year biodiesel plant, a 72,325 sq. ft. manufacturing/warehouse facility, two oilseed processing facilities, a $1.1 million dollar 171,000 bushel grain handling facility, two retail fuel stations and surplus equipment on Thursday, June 15 at 10 AM at 1690 Elm Street in Cumberland.

SunPower Biodiesel, LLC was an integrated agriculture-energy company marketing renewable fuel products. The former facility was capable of utilizing virgin vegetable oil from planted crops, used vegetable oil (UVO), and fats, oils and greases (FOG) to produce biodiesel. It primarily processed canola oil because of its superior cold flow properties. The facility produced 3 million gallons of B100 biodiesel fuel annually.

Bidders will have opportunity to purchase the assets as follows: Tract 1: 72,325 Sq. Ft. Heavy Manufacturing/Warehouse on 3.52± Acres. Tract 2: 171,000 Bushel Grain Handling Facility Equipment Package and/or 2.52± Acres Real Estate. Tract 3: New 2.45 Million Bushel/Year Oilseed Crushing Facility Equipment Package. Tract 4: Smaller 1.75 Million Bushel/Year Oilseed Crushing Facility Equipment Package. Tract 5: 3 Million Gallon/Year B100 Biodiesel Equipment Plant Package. Tract 6: Biodiesel Lab Equipment Package. Tract 7: Retail Fuel Station in Cumberland, Wisconsin Equipment Package and/or 1.7± Acres Real Estate and Tract 8: Retail Fuel Station in Duluth, Minnesota Equipment Package and/or .89± Acres Real Estate.
