CropEnergies sees record profit thanks to Wilton ethanol plant

In Germany, CropEnergies’ Wilton, UK-based ethanol facility came back online in June last year, a move which helped to boost overall revenues by 11% and reach a record profit of $109.9 million during 2016/17. While the facility was mothballed for about a year in light of low European ethanol prices, the company invested in improvements that now allow it to now take advantage of full production capacity. Total production during the reporting period was 1.03 million cubic meters, up from 837,000 cubic meters the year prior.
