June 29, 2017 |

In Brazil, ethanol production slid during the first half of June by more than 16% during the same period last year as the cane crush fell nearly 10% due to wet weather and mills continued to focus on sugar production. Hydrous ethanol fell more than 7% to 2.386 billion liters while anhydrous fell more than 21% to 3.425 billion liters. Less than 54% of the cane crushed during the two-week period went towards ethanol production while the remainder was used for sugar production.
