Despite Abengoa’s collapse, EU ethanol production seen reaching record highs

In the UK, European ethanol production is ramping back up with gusto thanks to Ensus and Vivergo back online but beet and corn-based ethanol production are also seen helping the trade block reach a record high of nearly 6.3 billion liters this year. Abengoa’s collapse last year that saw production region-wide fall to nine-year lows and Spain’s drop by 43% this year will be more than reversed by increases in the UK, France and Germany.
