July 5, 2017 |

In Kenya, a court is hearing a fraud case about 10 people including a Kenya Revenue Authority officer tried to illegally import 400 drums of ethanol worth $70,418 in February 2016 through the Port of Mombasa. Senior government officials have been charged in the case. The illegally imported ethanol was destined for Spectre International, a local ethanol company owned by the family of opposition leader Raila Odinga but the company denied any wrongdoing back in October.
