Platts expects Brazil H2 ethanol production to come in at 1.84 billion liters

In Brazil, Platts expects ethanol production during the second half of June to increase 22% from early in the month but to fall 6% on the year at 1.84 billion liters. With drier weather during the reporting period expected to increase the cane crush to 46.7 million metric tons, with nearly half of it going towards ethanol production. Last year saw more than 53% of the cane used for ethanol production rather than for sugar.
