Vietnam axes Phu Tho Ethanol but plans to restart Dung Quat and finish Binh Phuoc

In Vietnam, the Ministry of Industry and Trade has agreed to bankrupt Phu Tho Ethanol while the Dung Quat Ethanol Plant project will be restarted, then the capital will be withdrawn or transferred. For the ethanol plant project in Binh Phuoc, because the E5 blending mandate will begin from early 2018, the Ministry of Industry and Trade asked PVN and the factory to work with foreign partners to commission the facility soon. Several government sponsored projects have come under scrutiny recently due to going over budget or never being commissioned.
