Fiberight’s Maine facility to be online by April 1

In Maine, the Fiberight MSW-based biogas plant under construction in Hampden should be online by April 1, 2018, according to a new construction schedule agreed by the partners. Earthmoving began earlier this month while the foundations should be laid by fall. The $69 million project will convert all of the MSW from 115 communities in Maine into biogas but the project faced many legal hurdles including challenges from the current processors of the waste that delayed the project from moving forward.
