Then and Now: 120 Bioeconomy Pioneers look at yesterday, today, inspirations and challenges

Then:  I was working as an independent consultant then (under the name Benz Technology International), in the field of fluid mixing. Over half my income was from cellulosic biofuels, from such companies as Abengoa, ICM, BP, KL Energy, Renmatix, Sweetwater energy, etc.

Now:  Still consulting in this field, but the emphasis is more on aerobic processes and other gasses such as methane. I cannot divulge customers for these. Algae is also active.

Inspirations: Making products that are renewable and don’t involve giving money to regimes that wish to destroy us.

Challenges: Too much political interference in free market forces.
