Ethanol industry calling for Trump to stand up against Brazil and China

In Washington, there are calls for President Trump to put his money where his mouth is by standing up to Brazil and China over biofuel trade as he promised on the campaign trail. Between China’s import tariff on ethanol that has seen imports slide to barely hundreds of cubic meters per month instead of tens of thousands and Brazil’s new ethanol quota and associated import tariff, there’s plenty of biofuel diplomacy to be done. Growth Energy says the industry wants a response equal to the economic losses suffered by the trade barriers.
