Ukraine looking to implement 4% ethanol blending next year

September 5, 2017 |

In the Ukraine, the country’s parliament is looking at introducing a bill that would mandate as much as 4% ethanol blending by July 1, 2018 that would later increase to 4.8% 12 months later. Most of the country’s corn is exported as a raw material but a biofuel blending mandate could help to trigger development of a domestic ethanol industry while reducing its reliance on imported fossil fuels that account for 95% of fuel consumption.
