Zimbabwe’s ethanol storage depot to be ready next month

September 5, 2017 |

In Zimbabwe, the National Oil and Infrastructure Company’s $6 million, 3 million liter ethanol storage facility located in the capital of Harare should be completed in October. Increased storage capacity will allow the government to better manage supplies so it doesn’t have to continuously change blending levels when availability is low, as was the case last year. Recently the blend was boosted to 20% from 15% but got as low as 5% when main ethanol producer Green Fuel couldn’t supply due to heavy rains.
