EPA administrator says Ichan didn’t have much influence

September 13, 2017 |

In Washington, the administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency said in a letter to a senator that Carl Icahn didn’t yield much influence on biofuel policy while he acted as an advisor to President Trump. The letter said no assurances were made regarding a potential shift of the point of obligation under the Renewable Fuel Standard—Icahn’s key policy fight—downplaying Icahn’s role as just one of many advisors, and that no emails between 39 top EPA staffers, Icahn or CVR were found during the key debate period this past spring.
