Brazil to boost to B10 for March 1, 2018

September 18, 2017 |

In Brazil, the country will boost its biodiesel blending mandate to 10% from March 1, 2018 but formalization of the policy won’t likely come until the end of the year when the National Energy Policy Council is expected to approve it, either at its scheduled meeting in December or an earlier special session if required. The blend will require an additional 1.2 billion liters annually of demand. More details on RenovaBio are expected in the next couple of weeks as well, including the legislative form it will take.
