Green Fuel says policy isn’t conducive to $1 billion investment

September 25, 2017 |

In Zimbabwe, Green Fuel says the domestic policy for ethanol isn’t conducive towards the $1 billion investment it was planning in order to expand its production. With further investments continent on the building of a new $300 million dam, further expansion for the current facility or development of two other planned distilleries isn’t likely at the moment. The company says it has invested $320 million in the project so far since 2009, using just 10,000ha of the 50,000ha available.
