Solfuels loads first rail car with biodiesel after bringing Arkansas plant back online

September 27, 2017 |

In Arkansas, Solfuels recently celebrated the loading of its first railroad tanker of biodiesel produced at the former Delta American Fuel 40 million gallon per year plant in Helena it bought last December. Trial production began at the facility back in June but the company just recently brought the plant fully back online. The company is a joint venture of two Singaporean biofuel trading companies who retrofitted the plant to be multi-feedstock including yellow grease and animal fats rather than just virgin soybean oil as had been used under previous ownership.
