September RIN production down nearly 10% from August

In Washington, the Environmental Protection Agency says that RIN production fell by nearly 10% in September to 1.596 billion RINs. Standard ethanol RINs saw production slide by more than 7% fewer from the month prior as production slowed on the back of maintenance downtimes, down by 98.68 million to 1.227 billion. Advanced biofuel D5 RINs saw the biggest drop of more than 40% from August to 16.72 million. Cellulosic biofuel and biomass-based diesel RINs also fell.
