In Illinois, D6 RINs jumped to an 11-month high this week, passing $1 for the first time in that period, on the back of sellers holding on to their RINs now that the Environmental Protection Agency isn’t likely to wind down the blending mandate for 2018 or 2019 following pressure from Midwest legislators. Other RINs follow suit and rose alongside D6s. The new anti-dumping tariffs against Argentine and Indonesian biodiesel are also seen as supporting RIN prices.
