Small-scale Oregon miner in trouble with the Feds for producing biodiesel

In Oregon, a small-scale miner has found himself in trouble with the US Forest Service for attempting to produce biodiesel from oil at his campsite in an environmentally sensitive part of the Umatilla National Forest, one of several defiant acts including setting up tents and a portable outhouse that led to a criminal charge of depredation of government property in US district court. The miner has battled the federal government before in court, which usually were later dismissed but the biodiesel production operation made the charges more serious this time.
