Shell providing advanced biofuels for 100% renewables father-son South Pole trek

In the UK, Shell is providing advanced biofuels produced from wood chips to the father and son duo who will make the trek to the South Pole come November as a way to raise awareness about the viability of renewable energy. The trek will be the first entirely powered by renewable energy including wind and solar power in addition to the advanced biofuels. The father leading the trek is the first person to have trekked both North and South Poles.
