Indonesian biodiesel consumption seen at just 2.5 billion liters in 2017

November 6, 2017 |

In Indonesia, biodiesel consumption is seen reaching 2.5 billion liters this year, far below the 3.5 billion liter target that was on track earlier in the year due to some “technical issues” seen between April and June. The B20 mandate led to consumption of 1.67 billion liters during the first half of the year, but the chief executive of the Indonesia Estate Crop Fund didn’t explain to Reuters what the “technical issues” were or how they were being resolved to ensure the target was reached in 2018.
