November 13, 2017 |

In Kansas, the $7 million in industrial revenue bonds for POET Ethanol approved by the Wichita City Council by unanimous vote in May has moved a step forward. The bond authorizes a 77.5% tax abatement for 10 years and is meant to help finance the company’s expansion. The project began in 2016 and is already completed. An additional 15 employees are expected to join the company at the Wichita facility as a result of the expansion.
