In Washington, the Environmental Protection Agency said in an 87-page report that it doesn’t believe proposals put forward by Valero and other refiners to change the Renewable Fuel Standard including changing the point of obligation for compliance with the RFS would result in net benefits, saying that changing it would cause disruption to the market and the RFS overall. The argument against making the proposed changes are in line with the rejection issued last year under the previous Obama administration.
