EU member states to meet December 18 about future REDII

In Belgium, European member states will meet on December 18 to discuss the different proposals for the next Renewable Energy Directive from the European Commission as well as the three European Parliament committees that have voted on it, including a number of contradictory amendments. The Parliament will then vote on the policy in plenary between January 15-18 after which point negotiations between the three branches of European policymaking will begin to come up with a final directive agreed by all.
