September biodiesel production slips from month prior to 147 million gallons

In Illinois, just after data was released showing that Argentine biodiesel exports to the US had fallen by 30% during Q3, the Energy Information Administration showed that domestic biodiesel production had fallen slightly in September to 147 million gallons, down from 149 million gallons in August. The fall comes during a period of low soy oil prices due to the current harvest and increased availability that would traditionally be trigger for even more biodiesel production.
