Chicago ethanol swap prices slump as Midwest producers break production record

In Illinois, ethanol swap prices slumped in Chicago on the back of the latest data from the Energy Information Administration showing reserves increased by another half million barrels while production broke the record created just two weeks ago when by rising 42,000 barrels per day to an average of 1.108 million barrels per day. Platts says the January swap fell to $1.32/gallon on Wednesday, four cents lower than the day before, while the February swap slipped three cents to $1.3450/gal.
