Major fuel retailers to implement Vietnam’s E5 policy by Friday

In Vietnam, Reuters is reporting that the shift to E5 will be implemented by top fuel suppliers PetroVietnam and PetroLimex by Friday following the government’s push for the private sector to help achieve its 5% blending policy and drive demand for domestic ethanol production that has all but mothballed most facilities. All fuel stations should implement the shift to E5 by January despite consumer concerns that the blend can damage their vehicles or could cause fires to break out.
