RenovaBio policy passes Brazilian Senate, awaits President’s signature

In Brazil, Reuters reports that the Senate passed the long-awaited RenovaBio policy, the last step before heading to the President for his signature, potentially before the end of the year. The House of Representatives passed the bill just a few days after it was presented in November in an effort to push the legislation through. A lot of the details are yet to be filled in including blending mandates that are expected to be significantly higher for both ethanol and biodiesel.
