Philippine domestic ethanol prices rebound after hitting five-year low

In the Philippines, Platts reports that domestic ethanol prices rose more than 3% to 88 cents per liter during the first half of December after falling to a five-year low in November. Prices began falling in July in response to low sugar and molasses prices, sinking more than 17% between July and November. Molasses prices rose more than 8% between H2 November and H1 December while sugarcane prices rose just over 7% during the same period, helping to support ethanol price recovery.
