E85 could get a boost in France after converter kit approval

In France, the E85 market is expected to get a boost following the approval of an E85 conversion kit by the national government on December 15. Previously adaptation kits were illegal. The kit averages around 700 euros, depending on the vehicles and what needs to be adjusted, including installation by an approved mechanic. Although the price is considered high, switching to E85 can save a driver on average 500 euros per year because of the significantly cheaper fuel costs.
