January 23, 2018 |

In Canada, a tanker truck hauling an unknown quantity of ethanol slammed into a rail car parked in a Canadian Pacific rail yard in British Columbia Monday evening, sparking a fire that led to evacuations of nearby homes and businesses as well as forcing the closure of the nearby highway for several hours. No injuries were reported while authorities moved to get debris and other cars out of the area so the fire could just burn out.
