Half dozen investors join together to buy former INEOS Bio plant

January 25, 2018 |

In Florida, the TCPalm newspaper reports that after Alliance Bioenergy’s plans to buy the former INEOS Bio plant in Indian River fell through despite an $8 million financing offer from the USDA, a consortium of investors from half a dozen states came together under the leadership of David Frankens with the newly incorporated Frankens Energy in Texas to buy the facility. The details of the transaction were not reported but the new owners bought it without doubt. Indian River County had made a deal with Alliance Bioenergy to source the required yard waste feedstock for the facility but no such agreement has been made yet with the new owners.
