Bangchak Petroluem to spin off biofuels business via IPO later in 2018

In Thailand, the Bangkok Post reports that Bangchak Petroluem plans to spin off its biofuels business BBGI later in the year via public listing so it may expand production both at home and abroad as part of a wider investment drive of around $3.5 billion by 2022. The company currently produces 1.7 billion liters of ethanol and biodiesel daily, accounting for nearly 5% of Bangchak’s overall revenue. Expansion plans include a biorefinery in the Eastern Economic Cooridor.
