South Korean ethanol imports fell 32% in January

In South Korea, Customs Today reports that ethanol imports fell 32% in January to 23,018 metric tons from the month before, but even so, compared to January 2017 the volume was up 215%. Undenatured ethanol imports took a nearly 25% hit with 10,940 tons imported in January, nearly most of which came from Australia with some also originating in Pakistan as well. Looking at imports since October, Australia has been the dominant player accounting for 23,442 tons from a total of 52,933 tons.
