EIA data shows ethanol production lower matched with lower stocks

February 14, 2018 |

In Washington, the Energy Information Agency said ethanol production fell 1.061 million barrels per day in the week ending February 9, 41,000 bpd lower than the week prior and the second-lowest level seen so far in 2018. Stock levels also fell to 22.8 million barrels, 604,000 barrels lower than the previous weeks, as stocks fell sharply in the Midwest and East Coast, in line with improved logistics moving product east and overseas as the major snows defrosted.
