In Brazil, Agrimoney reports that San Martinho and Biosev see a big push towards more ethanol production in the cane crushing season that officially starts April 1, though many are likely to start up earlier in March. Between October and December, both companies already shifted their crush heavily towards ethanol, with San Martinho using 53% for ethanol compared to 48% the year prior, while Biosev had a higher percentage with more than 60% for ethanol compared to the previous year’s 53%.
