February 26, 2018 |

In Brazil, thanks to the B10 blending mandate and reduced availability from Argentina due to drought, the country’s soymeal exports are expected to jump to 16.2 million metric tons in 2018 from 15 million tons in 2017. About 40% of the domestic soy crush goes towards biodiesel production, demand for which it will grow by a quarter this year as the blending mandate hits 10% in March from 8% previously. About 70% of biodiesel produced in 2017 came from soy oil.
