Zambia to roll out $1 million mini-ethanol distilleries investment

In Zambia, Thromro Investments will invest more than $1 million in a 15 one million liter per year ethanol facilities spread around the country that will supply fuel for the local transportation market. The micro-plants will use cassava, corn, sugarcane and sorghum as feedstock and fit in with the government’s policy to transition the economy towards agriculture and away from its traditional mining industries. The landlocked country imports 100% of the fossil fuels it consumes.
