European biodiesel industry flooded out by Argentine and Indonesian imports

In the Netherlands, Reuters reports that following the revision of anti-dumping duties on Argentine and Indonesian biodiesel imports into the European Union last year, biodiesel imports soared to 852,000 metric tons between August and January 2018. The sudden influx of supply has European producers worried that they’ll crush beneath the weight of imports and will be priced out of their own market. There are concerns that the Spanish industry would be shut down all together as a result of the imports.
