March 19, 2018 |

In Minnesota, Al Corn will bring online its $146 million expansion in early April, well ahead of the original July commissioning date, having receiving its first bushels of corn last week.  Boosting its corn consumption to 46 million bushels from 17.5 million to produce 120 million gallons of ethanol from the previous 50 million gallons, the facility will also produce 132,000 tons of livestock feed, 12 million pounds of corn oil and 70,000 tons of beverage grade carbon dioxide. A new CHP system will provide 40% of the expanded facility’s energy needs.
