New South Wales government invests A$4.6 million in Hunter Pilot Biorefinery

In Australia, the New South Wales government will invest A$4.6 million via the Growing Local Economies Fund towards the A$30 million Hunter Pilot Biorefinery in Muswellbrook developed by Apace Research Limited. The project is developed as a biorenewables hub to develop and demonstrate biomass-based technologies and will host general purpose biomass processing and fermentation equipment. One of the projects located at the new facility will be the Ethtec Cellulosic Ethanol Pilot Plant Project that recently received funding by ARENA.
