#2 Genomatica, Bio-Botanica partner in skin care
In San Diego, Genomatica has partnered with New York’s Bio-Botanica to create a line of botanical extracts using Genomatica’s Brontide butylene glycol.
Brontide is a fermentation-based renewable chemical that can be used be used in skin care applications as a humectant, preservative booster, solubilizer or stabilizer. Bio-Botanica says its partnership with Genomatica expands its goal to provide natural alternatives to petroleum-based ingredients. The new line will be launched the upcoming NYSCC Suppliers’ Day 2018.
