In Brazil, San Martinho announced a whopping 65% of the 20.6 million metric tons of sugarcane it plans to crush this season will be turned into ethanol, producing 465,000 cubic meters of anhydrous ethanol, about 6.5% higher than last year, while hydrous ethanol production will increase more than 42% to 663,000 cubic meters. Its anticipated cane crush is more than 7% lower than last year due to unusually dry weather as well as increase cane plantation renewal.
