Malaysia consulting with truck manufacturers to ensure green light for B10

In Malaysia, the New Straits Times reports that in an effort to boost consumption of B10 when the policy is implemented later this year, the government is engaging with truck manufacturers to ensure that their warranties will cover the use of higher biodiesel blends. While Japanese truck manufacturers have no issue with B10, some European and US manufacturers claim the higher blends will negatively impact how their engines run. Installed production capacity for biodiesel is currently 2.1 million metric tons.
